about the family-owned winery through Peace's monthly diary and listen to audio tasting notes on each of the wines in the portfolio. The website will be advertised on TV with break bumpers during 15 Super League matches shown live on Sky Sports.

South African Fairtrade wine brand Thandi has appointed Vernon Henn

general manager. Based in Stellenbosch, Henn has five years of experience in the wine industry and is currently completing a

wine  business

management programme through the University of Cape Town. Henn is a member of the executive committee of The Company of Wine People, which has a 33 per cent share in Thandi. The ultimate objective is for Thandi to become an independent brand with its own cellar and facilities.

Laurent-Perrier is rolling out a pink and black gift box with a pearlised finish for its Cuvée Rosé Brut. Available from Selfridges, Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Fortnum & Mason, it has a price tag of £41 for a 75cl bottle.

The MLA Portfolio - a joint venture between Lodovico Antinori and his brother, Piero - has added a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc to its line-up. The 2007 vintage from a 13 ha estate called Mount Nelson retails at £13.99 and will debut at the Maisons Marques & Domaines tasting on Feb 19. Berkmann Wine Cellars is taking its annual wine tasting event

on the road. The tour will begin in London on March 3 and lasts for five days. Each day the Berkmann team will advance to the next venue until finishing on March 7 in Edinburgh. Each venue will feature 45 wine producers, including new suppliers Chapel Hill and Lethbridge from Australia, Saintsbury from California, Coopers Creek and Goldridge from New Zealand and Casa Lapostolle from Chile.
