lAlsace Wines will be highlighting the compatibility of wines from Alsace with Asian food through its 2008 marketing campaign. A series of online promotions will support the current ad campaign. Alsace Wines will also be participating in the International Riesling & Pinot Noir review at this year's London International Wine Fair.
Thierry's has launched a £130,000 consumer campaign to promote Prosecco brand
Ravelli. The campaign includes support of London's annual Italian lifestyle exhibition, La Dolce Vita, in March and an on-pack promotion offering
the chance to win a trip to Venice. A consumer PR campaign will also be launched in the summer.
Spanish wine region Castilla
& León has gained two new appellations - DO Arianza and DO Tierra del Vino de Zamora. DO Arianza permits white grape varieties Albillo and Viura and reds Tinta del País, Garnacha, Mencía, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. DO Tierra del Vino de Zamora allows white wines made from Malvasía, Moscatel, Verdejo, Albillo, Palomino and Godello. Reds in the appellation will be made from Tempranillo, Garnacha and Cabernet Sauvignon.
