Fairhills launches Chilean range
Origin Wine has teamed up with the four producers who made up the defunct Los Robles co-operative to launch a Chilean selection under its Fairhills label.
It says the move makes Fairhills the only wine brand to cover all three Fairtrade wine-producing countries.
The range will include dual varietals and a rosé priced around £5, and single varietals such as Sauvignon Blanc,
Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère priced around £6.
Chief executive Bernard Fontannaz said: "We are delighted that we are able to support the future of all the producers who supplied Los Robles Fairtrade wine, and through this new alliance they will
be able to continue to supply the Co-operative for their own-brand Fairtrade wines."
The Co-op is to launch three own-label wines from the producers
in early 2009.
