Tanqueray gin is back on cinema screens with its Resist Simple campaign until the end of April. The ad encourages consumers to “resist the bland, ordinary and predictable”, and will be supported by a link-up with Time Out magazine.

Grant’s whisky sponsored Classic FM Live at the Royal Albert Hall on March 15, allowing the brand to reach a large proportion of its target audience, said a spokesman. The ongoing partnership with Classic FM includes PR and sampling activity.

Distell has appointed Cellar Trends to handle UK distribution of its Amarula cream liqueur brand, with effect from July 1, taking over from First Drinks Brands. Distell said the split with First Drinks was amicable and it had been instrumental in Amarula’s successful growth over the past 15 years.

Doragon Sake Rice Wine, launched in Tesco in 2009, has announced that Sainsbury’s and Asda will also stock the product from April. The move means Toorank UK now controls two-thirds of the total sake market in the UK.

Dalmore has released a limited-edition malt to help raise money for the Clan Mackenzie Society of Scotland & the UK. Only 3,000 bottles of the Dalmore Mackenzie have been released, each with an rrp of £100.

Zamaretto, the flavoured amaretto brand, is the new sponsor for Justin Lee Collins’ Good Times on Channel Five as part of a £175,000 deal.
