Teacher’s iconic look refreshed
Maxxium UK is to introduce updated packaging for its Teacher’s blended Scotch brand.
The new-look pack will highlight the relatively high malt content of the blend – 45%. The bottle has an embossed brand crest, a bolder plinth effect at the base and an “enhanced vacuity bubble” on the neck.
Brand manager Janette Peat said: “Teacher’s has rich history in pioneering packaging, from being the first whisky to invest in self-opening bottles without using a corkscrew in the 1910s, to inventing the jigger cap in the 1960s.
“Our new pack reflects this heritage by maintaining the distinct and recognisable trademark shape which has changed little over the past 92 years, but is now bolder and sleeker, while the clarity of the label offers better standout on-shelf.
“We decided to highlight the malt content as it’s one of the highest of all?blended Scotch whiskies and gives it its distinctive, malty, peaty flavour.”?
