The Good Wine Shop reveals plans for fourth shop
The Good Wine Shop is opening its fourth shop this Spring in Teddington, South West London.
The new shop and wine bar, which joins the existing stable of shops in Kew, Chiswick and Richmond Hill, will be located on the site of the former Famous Wines on Teddington High Street.
The shop will stock more than 750 wines, including fine and rare wines, as well as craft beers and artisan spirits. It will have locally-sourced English wines, such as Fairmile Vineyard in Henley-Upon-Thames, and a selection of organic, natural and vegan-friendly wines. There will also be a by-the-glass list and bar menu.
The Good Wine Shop will also offers bespoke, private tasting sessions for small groups, hosted by a qualified sommelier in the shop’s vaulted wine cellar, which is also available for private hire.
Owner, Mark Wrigglesworth, said: “We have been looking for the right site in Teddington for years, it is a thriving town with a wonderful community and there is a great vibe among local business owners. We are delighted that the perfect opportunity has finally come along. We have an exciting portfolio of quality wines from lesser-known producers and family-owned wineries around the globe; wines made by real people who have great stories to tell. We are really looking forward to meeting our new Teddington customers soon.”
Wrigglesworth took over The Good Wine Shop in St Margaret’s in 2004. The shop is no longer part of the business, but the company’s Kew store opened in 2009, Chiswick opened in 2012 and then Richmond Hill in November 2019.
The Good Wine Shop Teddington is due to open on March 19.
