Luxco and Niche Drinks make plans for distillery in Derry
A Missouri-based spirits company has acquires a stake in an Irish liqueur firm and has plans to build a distillery in the city of Derry.
Niche Drinks already makes Saint Brendan’s Irish Cream and The Quiet Man Irish Whiskey, and now Luxco from St Louis has plans to invest in growing capacity and brand awareness for Niche’s brands.

The companies are now in discussions to build an Irish whiskey distillery in Ebrington Square in Derry, according to reports.
Niche Drinks was created in 1983 and it makes cream liqueurs, Irish coffees and ready-to-drink cocktails for retailers.
