Kokoro Gin introduces miniatures

Kokoro Gin has launched a miniature bottle of its Japanese-inspired London Dry Gin.

The miniatures will be available to the off-trade, on-trade and wholesalers across the UK via specialist spirits agency, Mangrove.

The new 5cl bottles will complement the existing 70cl bottle, which was launched in September 2016, with the first batch selling out within two months. Its core ingredient, sansho berries, are hand-picked and imported to the UK from the Afan Woodland, a sustainable forest in the Nagano region of Japan. The berries, which are used extensively in Japanese cuisine, have a distinctive pepper flavour with a citrus aftertaste. The berries, combined with eight other botanicals, give Kokoro Gin its unique flavour.

James Nicol, managing director at Forest Spirits, which produces the gin, said: “introducing the miniature bottles will enable us to provide potential stockists with samples, as well as accommodate the hotel industry and help them full up their mini bars.”
