Bordeaux Wines feature in new festive advertising campaign

The Bordeaux Wine Council (CIVB) has launched its festive advertising campaign for the UK market.

The campaign, which aims to highlight the diversity of Bordeaux wines, includes a new creative called ‘fairy lights’. The fairy lights highlight the diversity of the wines in a “fun and seasonal way”, as a continuation of the campaign message ‘The more you look the more you discover’.

The UK advertising will run across key digital media platforms including TimeOut, Stylist and national press and versions will also be available for digital devices and smartphones. Placements will also take place on YouTube, potentially running on various food, drink and lifestyle channels.

The animated fairy lights advertisement, which sees the white, reds and roses of Bordeaux twinkle to the jingle of Christmas bells, will be aired for the first time on Channel 4 Video On-Demand and is also available to view via Bordeaux Wines’ new website (see the advert here:

Francois Jumeau, CIVB director of marketing, said: “With Christmas just around the corner, now is the perfect time for us to inject some festive fun into our advertising activity, whilst continuing to generate awareness and promote the diversity of Bordeaux wines. Whether it’s a crisp white, a smooth red or a delicate rosé, there’s a Bordeaux wine for everyone this Christmas.”

The campaign will run until 23 December 2016.
