Bottling specialist launches retail store in County Durham
Bottling firm Lanchester Group is opening its first off-licence in a former Morgan sports car dealership in County Durham.
The group, run by Tony and Veronica Cleary, bottles for major retailers including Asda and Sainsbury’s and suppliers such as Concha y Toro, and runs a wholesale business serving the on and off-trade.
It is now diversifying into retail and the Clearys’ son Ben is running the new store, which is called the Pip Stop and opens on Saturday, April 25.
He said: “I’m very excited to make my contribution to the development of the family business by adding a strong public-facing retail brand to our portfolio. There’s been a tremendous amount of interest and we’re looking forward to a busy day on Saturday.“
