New brews mark 140 years for Batemans
Lincolnshire family brewer Batemans has rebranded with a contemporary new look and a range of unusual new craft beers to celebrate its 140th anniversary.
The brewer has adopted the strapline “Craft Brewers Since 1874”, and launched several new ranges, many with food-themed flavours.
Black Pepper Ale is a strong pale ale brewed with chocolate, crystal and wheat malts, blended with spicy English Challenger, Golding and Styrian hops and served – optionally – with a sachet of ground black pepper.
Biscuit Barrel Beers are a new seasonal range with biscuity flavours – Oatmeal for spring, Digestive for summer, Bourbon for autumn, Chocolate Digestive for winter and Fruit for Christmas.
New Bohemian Brews come in Mocha, Mocha Amaretto, Orange Barley and Hazelnut Brownie flavours.
Batemans has also launched golden ale Golden Swallow as part of its Salem Bridge Brewery Beers range, as well as Black & White, a 3.6% abv dark, full-bodied beer with fruity flavours and nutty undertones.
Managing director Stuart Bateman said: “This year marks a momentous occasion for us, as we celebrate our 140th anniversary. In recognition of this achievement, we’ve evolved our branding, and also introduced a range of new beers, which demonstrate the heritage and expertise of our brewery, while offering tastes and flavours that are incredibly modern. We’re extremely proud of these new beers, and hope our customers and fans enjoy them.”
