Drinkaware Trust names top 10 for its charity board
The Drinkaware Trust has announced the appointment of 10 trustees.
Benet Slay, managing director of Diageo Great Britain; John Dunsmore, chairman and managing director of S&N UK; Carolyn Bradley, commercial director at Tesco; Nick Grant, head of legal services for Sainsbury's; and Tim Clarke, chief executive of pub company Mitchells & Butlers are the five trustees from an alcohol industry background.
Prof David Foxcroft, of Oxford Brookes University; Stephen Hogg, of young people's charity Centrepoint; Srabani Sen, chief executive of Alcohol Concern; Dr Nick Sheron, head of clinical hepatology at Southampton General Hospital; and Dr Michael Wilks, chairman of the British Medical Association, join them.
Chair of the board of trustees Debra Shipley said: "I am pleased such high-powered and influential people are willing to serve on the board of Drinkaware."
Through the charity the trustees will help reduce alcohol misuse and minimise alcohol-related harm.
