Bohem releases lagers in cans and signs distribution deal
A London-based brewer of Czech style lagers has launched four of its brews in cans.
Bohem Brewery, based in Tottenham, north London, has also signed a distribution deal with speciality beer wholesaler The Bottle Shop.
The four beers are: Amos Czech Pilsner, 4.9% abv, rrp £3.75; Sparta Amber Lager, 5.4% abv, rrp £3.90; Druid Black Lager, 5.7% abv, rrp £4.05; and Vasco Double India Pale Lager, 7.4% abv, rrp £5.55.
All are in 44cl cans and there is a four-pack containing all the beers with an rrp of £16.
Chief executive Zdenek Kudr said: “We’ve invested more than £325,000 to date in specialist brewing and storage equipment that allows us to produce beers that are far higher quality than most lagers, whether they come from multinationals or craft brewers.
“The standard industry approach is to try and engineer lagering out of lager because of the cost of holding beer in storage, but we celebrate the time it takes to craft an authentic lager. Some things are worth waiting for.”
Andrew Morgan, managing director of The Bottle Shop, said: “As a huge fan of Czech lagers, it’s great to have something so accurately brewed in London to ensure it’s as fresh as can be.”
