Nirvana to add organic beer to alcohol-free line-up

Nirvana Brewery has launched its first organic, alcohol-free beer, which will hit the shelves at the end of October.

The East London brewery, which describes itself as the UK’s first alcohol-free brewery and London’s only organic brewery officially certified by the Soil Association, is introducing the new pale ale – Mantra – to its collection.

The 0.5% abv Mantra (rsp: £2.29) is brewed using only Nirvana’s English organic hops and it is described as having light floral aromas, paired with subtle hints of spice and tangerine. The beer is also vegan and lactose-free.

Steve Dass, co-founder of Nirvana Brewery, said: “Everyone here at Nirvana is excited about our Soil Association certification; more and more folk are conscious about what they put in their bodies, and with Mantra we follow the same ethos of brewing all of our beers without any chemical enhancements (such as lactose). We are delighted that we can now offer our customers a beer that is not only alcohol-free but also organic. Good Vibes.”

Nirvana Brewery was launched one year ago and it now has a range of alcohol-free and low abv beers, including Kosmic Stout, Tantra Pale Ale, Karma Pale Ale, Sutra IPA, Ananda Buchabeer (made by blending Kombucha, cane sugar and Tantra pale ale), Zen & Berries (sour beer) and Chakra IPA.
