Aldi bolsters craft beer range with Fallen brews

Aldi and Fallen Brewery have teamed up to launch two exclusive craft beers to capitalise on the growing demand for interesting brews in Scotland.

The Stirling-based brewer has created two exclusive beers for Aldi: a 4.6% abv Kiwi-style pale ale called Wanganui and a 4% abv German-inspired sour wheat beer.

Both come in 33cl cans and retail for £1.39, joining another two Fallen beers – Just the Ticket and Grapevine – in Aldi’s range.

Graham Nicolson, group buying director, Aldi Scotland, said: “Craft beer has soared in popularity in recent years and we’re always looking for exciting new products to add to our range.

“With their unique flavours, Wanganui and Gose Train are two very special additions to Aldi’s craft beer selection.”

Paul Fallen, Managing Director at Fallen Brewing, said: “At Fallen Brewing, we love to experiment. We’ve got a great feeling about not only introducing a brand new Kiwi Pale ale to the market, but developing Gose, a softer, less dry style of sour beer, catering to the thriving sour beer trend. Both beers are delicious and refreshing – the perfect BBQ season accompaniment.”
