Waitrose reboots its beer and cider range
Waitrose has overhauled its beer and cider range and shoppers can look forward to new drinks from the likes of Beavertown, Sxollie, Hawkes and Wiper & True.
It is the first time cult craft beer brand Beavertown has ever made an appearance on supermarket shelves, and the new range is teeming with exclusives and grocer firsts.
Beer buyer Sarah Hammond said: “This new range reflects the changing tastes of our customers. We’ve got sour beers, innovative fruit beers, new emerging cider brands and a whole host of exciting breweries changing the way we enjoy beer and cider in the UK.”
Sxollie is a South African cider brand made using Pink Lady apples, and each bottle sold helps fund women working in agriculture in sub-Saharan Africa.
Hawkes Urban Orchard, recently snapped up by Scottish brewer Brewdog, is London’s first commercial cidery.
Wiper & True is a Bristol-based brewery produced experimental beers including Kaleidoscope pale ale and a milk stout.
Fuller’s London Pride unfiltered, Peroni Gran Reserva, San Miguel Selecta, Wild Beer Co Nebula and Kriek are among the other new beers to the range.
