Berry Bros & Rudd has announced it has increased its stake in Anchor Distilling Company.

The family-owned wine merchant has purchased co-owner Keith Greggor’s shares in the San Francisco-based premium craft spirits business.

BBR’s chief executive, Dan Jago, said: “This is incredibly exciting news for Berry Bros & Rudd. Not only has ADC experienced strong, profitable and consistent growth in revenue of more than 500% over the past few years, but the business boasts a portfolio of over 300 specialty products from more than 20 countries.”

Tony Foglio, co-owner of Anchor Distilling Company, said: “Since Anchor Distilling Company first formed in 2010, thanks to a partnership with Berry Bros & Rudd, the company has transformed from an independent craft distiller to a portfolio of the world’s finest craft spirits.”

BBR’s new chairman, Lizzy Rudd, said: “Both we and the team at ADC are incredibly proud about the opportunities this presents for Berry Bros & Rudd in the United States. We are delighted too that Dennis Carr, president and ceo of ADC will continue in his existing role. “

The Anchor Distilling Company was founded in 1993.
