Tesco toasts ethical beer brand

Ethical beer brand Toast has gained a listing at the UK’s largest retailer for its Much Kneaded craft lager and Bloomin’ Lovely session IPA.

The brewery uses surplus fresh bread destined to be thrown away and turns it into beer, helping reduce wastage in the UK food chain.

Jamie Oliver is among the celebrity backers of the scheme and it was a design and packaging champions at our International Beer Challenge last year.

Tesco craft beer buyer Chloe Harrison said: “We are excited to be expanding our range of craft beers with Toast. I’m sure the story and quality of the Toast beers will be popular with our customers, and we’re thrilled to be supporting such a great food waste initiative.

“We are also looking at other ways that we can help Toast in the future, so they can brew even more delicious beer and help tackle food waste.”
