Heineken reveals new SKU for Tiger beer
Heineken is introducing a 4x33cl can pack to its Tiger beer range to tap into growth in the small cans sector.
The brewer said small cans are currently seeing 35% value growth, and the new SKU for its iconic Asian beer brand would tap into this as well as helping to encourage cross category purchases. The brand is often paired in stores with Indian, Chinese or Thai meals and ingredients and the brewer also notes that recent research shows 81% of planned social occasions include food.
Toby Lancaster, category and shopper marketing director at Heineken, said: “Tiger Beer’s courageous spirit appeals to a trend-conscious consumer, and we know that the new can-pack format is right up their street. We are confident the new SKU will help our customers unleash higher sales this summer and beyond, so retailers should stock up now to reap the benefits.”
The new 4x33cl can pack is priced at £4.50, while Tiger is also available in a 64cl bottle at £2.
