BrewDog creates a limited Paradox

Scottish microbrewer Brew Dog has produced a 200-bottle limited -edition version of its Paradox stout, matured for 12 months in a 1968 Bowmore whisky cask.

The whisky was sold for £1,500 a bottle, but Paradox 1968 Islay Cask will set consumers back a mere £40 for a 33cl bottle.

The beer is available to buy online at the Brew Dog website, though over half the production run has been pre-ordered by beer connoisseurs, said the company.

Head brewer Martin Dickie said: "Paradox represents everything that we love about brewing and everything that Brew Dog stands for.

"It's an innovative, uncompromising beer that really pushes the boundaries as to what beer is and will hopefully change a few peoples' perceptions."
