as tasting of "peat soaked in tropical juices , fused with toasted vanilla and sizzling cinnamon spice, with creamy malt and floral characteristics".
Brand director Hamish Torrie said: "Renaissance is a celebration of the re-opening of the Ardbeg Distillery in 1997 and is the last opportunity to track the progress of Ardbeg distilled in 1998 - as it has now developed its full, distinctive
smoky and peaty character."
It is bottled at 55.9% abv, with an rrp of £41.99.
